I had a great time this weekend with my son JJ (3 ½ years old) ‘trick or treating’ where we live.
What was interesting was that once he realised the more calls on houses he made and the more people he asked the question: ‘ Trick or treat? ‘ . . . the more sweets he got! Then there was no stopping him :)
This made me think about how like selling the whole experience is!
Some people dread it and put it off until the last minute or make excuses to avoid it altogether…
Others never embrace the spirit of the occasion and as they don’t play full out, get very little in return… Winners make an event of it, have FUN, make lots of cold calls and reap the rewards …

1. Identify your potential clients before you call on them
(e.g. houses with pumpkins outside them).
2. Make sure you are properly prepared before you call on them …
(appropriate dress is essential).
3. Offer your prospects alternative questions that demonstrate PAIN if they
don’t act and PLEASURE if they do … (Trick or Treat?)
4. Make it a team event, nobody enjoys working alone!
5. Have FUN and keep calling on new prospects until your reach your goal…
